Finding the right security camera mount isn’t just about the camera. It’s about where you need to put it.
Gutter edges, vinyl siding seams, fence posts, and eave soffits all require different hardware. At MountGuys, we dig into the mounting system for each camera to identify what actually works — and what the stock mount in the box can’t handle.
What to know before you buy a mount
Most security cameras use one of three attachment methods: a standard 1/4″-20 threaded hole (the most mount-friendly), a proprietary magnetic base, or a clip-and-snap bracket system. Knowing which one your camera uses determines what third-party mounts will work. Our guides explain this for every camera we cover.

Why camera-specific mount guides matter
Generic security camera mount roundups treat every camera the same. They don’t. Each brand uses a different attachment system, and the mounts that work for a Wyze Cam v3 will not work for a Tapo C425 or a Blink Outdoor 4. Our guides match recommendations to the specific camera you actually own.
