Phone, Tablet and GPS Mounts for an Buick Enclave

Buick Enclave Phone Mounts

Buick is still around and makes a nice looking SUV named the Buick Enclave.  Today, we look at mounts for a Buick Enclave SUV.

A photo of the Buick Enclave interior accompanies this article.  The windshield is a bit of a reach forward.  The cup holders are paced on an inset towards the passenger side of the center console.  The vents are horizontal on either side of the display.  The dash has a decent area for adhesive mounts.  As we have seen in many other new vehicles, there is no CD player so no mounts for this location.

Some Mount Recommendations for an Buick Enclave

We mentioned the windshield being a bit of a reach so a longer mounting arm makes it easier,

Consider the iOttie Easy One Touch 5 Car Mount for SmartPhones which features an extendable rigid base combined with an expandable cradle.  The iOttie Easy One Touch 5 has an 8-inch extension feature.  This extension is going to come in handy.  The included cradle expands by pressing the buttons on each side.  This is large enough to hold most phones.

Turning the iOttie Easy One Touch 5 into a dash mount is easy.  Add the The iOttie Reusable Dashboard Pad for use on the dash.  It’s a temporary non adhesive accessory.  The bottom has a sticky surface and the top is smooth like a windshield.  Although no wipe is included, be sure to clean the dash area before application.  Now stick the suction cup from the mount to the smooth surface on this dash disk.  When it’s time to remove the iOttie Reusable Dashboard Pad, simply lift the tab and remove.  Wash the bottom with warm soapy water and let it dry.  This recharges the sticky surface.

The air vents are a standard horizontal format and the one that is to the left of the display is most accessible.  A good location for using your phone as a GPS.

We continue to recommend the Andobil Air Vent Mount.  We discovered this vent mount awhile ago and continue to be very impressed.  The cradle will hold a device up to 3.75 inches wide.  It has a ball and socket so the cradle swivels into any orientation.  Apple iPhone owners can check out the Andobil MagSafe Air Vent Mount which is the same mount but with a magnetic adapter that pairs perfectly.

We wrote a full review of the Andobil mount awhile back and it’s worth reading for more information.

The cup holders are inset within the console near the passenger.  Cup holder mounts for a phone or small tablet will fit, albeit somewhat snug within one of those cup holders.  It might get a bit tight of there is a passenger in the vehicle but that probably depends upon the size of the passenger.  It will also depend upon the size of the tablet and you should not exceed anything larger than an iPad Mini.

The cup holder is a good location when using apps that do not need to be referenced while driving.

Consider the APPS2CAR Cup Holder Mount for Tablets and Phones.  These mounts include two different cradles.  One for a phone and another for a tablet.  The mount is adjustable and solidly made to easily handle the weight of your tablet.  You will see a lot of mounts on the market for tablets or cell phones.  This is the only car mount kit known of that offers two different cradles, one for the phone, the other for the tablet.  You will not find a universal cradle that fits phones and large tablets.  The tablet cradle will hold devices up to 11 inches.

If looking to entertain the back seat passengers with a tablet or smartphone, consider a headrest mount.  We covered a variety of head rest mounts in our article entitled Car Headrest Mounts for Tablets, Phones or Cameras.

Summing it up

So when it comes to an Buick Enclave, the windshield, vent and dash make good locations for a phone or GPS.  The cup holder is a good location for a small to midsize tablet.
