Phone and GPS Mounts for a Jaguar I-PACE

Jaguar has entered the battery operated market with the I-PACE.  The Jaguar I-PACE is a luxury car with a lot of refined interior features (and a fairly expensive price). This isn’t the first electric vehicle we have looked at.  We previously took a look at the Tesla Model X and Tesla Model S.  Unlike the Tesla models, the Jaguar I-PACE doesn’t have a TV sized monitor in the middle so finding a few good mount locations is a bit easier. A photo of the Jaguar I-PACE interior accompanies this article.  It’s a little further reach to the windshield so an … Read more

Phone and GPS Mounts for a Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross

This week, I had the opportunity to drive a Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross.  It’s a bit cramped and there’s an unusually shaped dash but we were able to find some good spots for mounting a phone or GPS. Due to the compact design of this vehicle, tablet mounts aren’t applicable.  The Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross is simply too compact to find a good spot for anything larger than a smartphone or GPS. A photo of the interior of a Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross accompanies this article.  It’s a normal reach to the windshield so most suction mounts will work well.  Normal horizontal vents … Read more

Phone, GPS and Tablet Mounts for an Audi Q8

The Audi Q8 is a nice wide SUV.  When it comes to mounting anything, an article starting with nice and wide is typically a clue that it won’t be too hard to find good places to mount a phone, GPS or tablet.  The Audi Q8 fits that mold. We previously evaluated mounts for an Audi Q3.  That was a bit of a challenge given the smaller vehicle size but the larger dimensions of the Audi Q8 made this much easier. Our typical interior photo of the vehicle accompanies this article.  Nothing unusual about the windshield, so we know that location … Read more

Phone and GPS Mounts for a Tesla Model X

The Tesla Model X is the high-end SUV from the Tesla brand.  State of the art electronics all over.  But I’m fairly certain it won’t replace your phone, hence this article about phone mounts for a Tesla Model X.suv A photo of the interior of the Tesla Model X accompanies this article.  It doesn’t look like your typical high-end sedan. You may have noticed that we left the word “tablet” out of the title for this article.  There’s simply nowhere to place a tablet in the Tesla Model X.  It’s simply too compact in the front seat area.  Perhaps in … Read more

Phone and GPS Mounts for a Volkswagen Tiguan

Generally, an SUV is easy to mount practically any device.  That was not the case in the Volkswagen Tiguan.  We’ll cover what will work and not work in this vehicle and which devices will fit in this SUV. First, you may notice that tablets aren’t part of the title of the article.  That’s because there isn’t a good location to put a tablet.  It’s just not going to work so we will concentrate on phones and GPS devices. This is one of the most difficult SUV models we have encountered when it comes to mounting a device.  It rivals our … Read more

Phone Tablet and GPS Mounts for a Subaru Ascent

Subaru makes great vehicles.  Subaru doesn’t always make vehicles that are easy to mount stuff.  In terms of compatible mounts, the big giant Subaru Ascent is no different from most other Subaru vehicles.  We previously looked at a few other vehicles from this manufacturer including the Subaru Crosstrek and were met with similar challenges. The Subaru Ascent appears to share many similar interior design characteristics as the Subaru Crosstrek.  Vertical vents and a display jutting up in the middle of the dashboard.  This makes the vent, dash and even the windshield a bit more difficult to mount a device. Our … Read more
