Our typical photo of the interior of the vehicle is included with this article.  You can begin to see some of the challenges in mounting locations. Phone, Tablet and GPS Mounts for a Toyota Highlander

While walking around my local Toyota showroom, I had the opportunity to check out the Toyota Highlander.  Nice SUV with lots of mount possibilities.  Let’s review what I discovered. It’s a nicely sized SUV.  The usual locations seem to be fully accessible.  Windshield is nice and wide and not too far of a reach for the driver.  The vents are horizontal so most mounts should work fine.  A bit of raised dash makes this area difficult as the clearance between the dash and windshield might prove to be too short.  There is a CD player which might work fine.  The … Read more

Phone, Tablet and GPS Mounts for an Acura RDX

The Acura RDX is a smaller luxury SUV.  It has a very nice interior but isn’t the most mount friendly vehicle.  Today, we will look at some of the best places to mount a phone, tablet or GPS in an Acura RDX. We previously looked at mounts for an Acura MDX.  The RDX is the little brother to the MDX.  We found the MDX to be one of the easier vehicles to mount almost any device.  Not so much on the Acura RDX. A photo of the Acura RDX interior accompanies this article.  It has an easy to reach windshield.  … Read more

Phone, Tablet and GPS Mounts for a Jaguar E-PACE

The Jaguar E-PACE is a compact sized SUV.  Surprisingly, there is a lot of space in the front seat.  So much space, that we can actually recommend a mount for a tablet. This isn’t the first Jaguar we have looked at.  We previously took a look at the Jaguar I-PACE.  This SUV has many interior similarities to the I-PACE. A photo of the Jaguar E-PACE interior accompanies this article.  Windshield is going to work quite well.  Normal horizontal vents in the middle of the dash always translates to a good mounting location.  The dash has a flat location above the … Read more

Phone and GPS Mounts for a Jaguar I-PACE

Jaguar has entered the battery operated market with the I-PACE.  The Jaguar I-PACE is a luxury car with a lot of refined interior features (and a fairly expensive price). This isn’t the first electric vehicle we have looked at.  We previously took a look at the Tesla Model X and Tesla Model S.  Unlike the Tesla models, the Jaguar I-PACE doesn’t have a TV sized monitor in the middle so finding a few good mount locations is a bit easier. A photo of the Jaguar I-PACE interior accompanies this article.  It’s a little further reach to the windshield so an … Read more

Phone and GPS Mounts for a Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross

This week, I had the opportunity to drive a Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross.  It’s a bit cramped and there’s an unusually shaped dash but we were able to find some good spots for mounting a phone or GPS. Due to the compact design of this vehicle, tablet mounts aren’t applicable.  The Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross is simply too compact to find a good spot for anything larger than a smartphone or GPS. A photo of the interior of a Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross accompanies this article.  It’s a normal reach to the windshield so most suction mounts will work well.  Normal horizontal vents … Read more
