Phone, Tablet and GPS Mounts for a Nissan Rogue

Today, we are going to take a close look at the Nissan Rogue.  It’s one of Nissan’s best sellers and gets great reviews. Mount Analysis The outside looks a bit similar to a Nissan Murano.  However the interior is more conventional.  Perhaps a little more compact.  Certainly not as many bazaar curves and slopes as the Murano.  That’s good news from a mounting perspective.  Lots of different places will work well in a Nissan Rogue but there were a few mounts and holders that simply won’t work.  Especially the cup holders. The cup holder location is set towards the front … Read more

Phone, Tablet and GPS Mounts for an Acura RDX

The Acura RDX is a smaller luxury SUV.  It has a very nice interior but isn’t the most mount friendly vehicle.  Today, we will look at some of the best places to mount a phone, tablet or GPS in an Acura RDX. We previously looked at mounts for an Acura MDX.  The RDX is the little brother to the MDX.  We found the MDX to be one of the easier vehicles to mount almost any device.  Not so much on the Acura RDX. We also viewed mounts for the Acura Integra.  Thankfully, the RDX is much easier! A photo of … Read more

Lexus TX 350 Phone, Tablet and GPS Mounts

The Lexus TX 350 was introduced in late 2023.  It’s a very nice, decently large vehicle with a few mounting challenges. We have already analyzed a few Lexus SUVs including the RX 350.  This SUV seems a little larger and the mounting challenges are quite similar. A lot of the decision over a mount for a device will come down to how you plan to use it.  If it’s a phone and a simple matter of connecting it to the infotainment system, and it isn’t too large, there’s a slot cut into the middle console.  Stick the phone in the … Read more

Phone, GPS and Tablet Mounts for a Land Rover Discovery

The Land Rover Discovery, to no surprise, is a very nice luxury SUV.  Gladly, finding places to mount a phone, tablet or GPS was fairly easy.  We will spend most of the article space on smartphone mounts for a Land Rover Discovery but will also touch on mounting a Garmin GPS and a tablet. Mount Analysis for a Land Rover Discovery Our typical photo of the interior of the vehicle is included and that’s a mighty nice one on the Land Rover Discovery.  A respectable amount of room on the dash, a long reach to the windshield, along with traditionally … Read more

Phone, GPS and Tablet Mounts for a Toyota 4Runner

I travel a lot and rent all kinds of cars.  Today, the good folks at Budget Car Rental were nice enough to upgrade me to a Toyota 4Runner.  That means it’s time for a vehicle specific article on how to mount a cell phone, tablet or GPS in a Toyota 4Rrunner. Toyota 4Runner Mount Analysis A photo of the interior of a Toyota 4Runner accompanies this article.  It’s a fairly spacious interior with a bit of a further reach to the windshield.  Nice flat dash but not overly deep which would limit use as a mounting location.  Normal horizontal vents are present. … Read more

Phone and GPS Mounts for a Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross

This week, I had the opportunity to drive a Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross.  It’s a bit cramped and there’s an unusually shaped dash but we were able to find some good spots for mounting a phone or GPS. Due to the compact design of this vehicle, tablet mounts aren’t applicable.  The Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross is simply too compact to find a good spot for anything larger than a smartphone or GPS. A photo of the interior of a Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross accompanies this article.  It’s a normal reach to the windshield so most suction mounts will work well.  Normal horizontal vents … Read more
