Honda Pilot Phone, GPS and Tablet Mounts

The Honda Pilot is much larger than expected and far more difficult to mount a device in than anticipated.  We take a look at how to mount a cell phone, tablet or GPS in a Honda Pilot. Honda Pilot Mounting Locations A photo of the interior of a Honda Pilot accompanies this article. The windshield is a very far reach.  We will need an extra long mount for this location. The middle vents are freakishly recessed and this means this location is out of consideration.  The left most vent is usable but a matter of personal preference. The dash is … Read more

Honda Ridgeline Phone, GPS and Tablet Mounts

The Honda Ridgeline was a surprisingly nice vehicle.  Inside it looks nothing like a pickup truck.  The outside has some nice features I haven’t seen on a pickup.  But this isn’t a vehicle review.  We take a look at how to mount a cell phone, tablet or GPS in a Honda Ridgeline. Honda Ridgeline Mounting Locations A photo of the interior of a Honda Ridgeline accompanies this article.  It’s a nice size interior with a big dash and a long reach to the windshield.  Large horizontal vents and a pair of cup holders on the passenger side.  So let’s see … Read more

Phone and GPS Mounts for a Honda Accord

A few key points to address before selecting your drink holder mount is how large of a drink you will want to place into the holder.  I have seen riders with a coffee mug taking sips at red lights.  This happened in Naples Florida where it’s a much  more relaxed environment than my home state of New Jersey.  Here in New Jersey, I typically see bottles of water.  You also need to think about where you … Read more

Techmount Phone Mounts for Motorcycles

We have written about the Techmount motorcycle line in several past articles.  Techmount makes good durable mounts for electronics.  Today, we are concentrating on their products made for mounting a smartphone. Techmount offers a few different smartphone cradles.  In my opinion, the best for motorcycle use is the Techmount TechGripper which features a spring-loaded cradle that opens to four-inches.  Four inches is large enough for most smartphones with or without a case or skin.  It’s even large enough for some GPS units and can provide a grip that’s more secure than the mounts that come with some GPS models.  When closed, this cradle … Read more
