The Toyota bZ and earlier bZ4X have one of the more unusual interiors in Toyota’s lineup, which makes choosing the right Toyota bZ phone mount more important than it might seem. The high-mounted instrument display, large center touchscreen, wide dashboard and floating-style center console leave plenty of space inside the cabin, but not every space makes a good mounting point.

Toyota bZ interior

There is another complication. Toyota sold this vehicle in the United States as the bZ4X from 2023 through 2025, then shortened the name to bZ for 2026. The change was more than a badge swap. Toyota redesigned the dashboard and center console and replaced the earlier 12.3-inch multimedia display with a standard 14-inch screen for 2026.

That means a custom mount built around the 2023-2025 dashboard should not be assumed to fit a 2026 or newer bZ. We will separate those choices clearly below.

Best Toyota bZ Phone Mounts at a Glance

Mount Best For Years / Trim
PZK Custom bZ4X MagSafe Mount Best custom-fit magnetic mount 2023-2025 bZ4X
Masergogo Auto Clamp bZ4X Mount Best custom cradle-style option 2023-2025 bZ4X
andobil MagSafe Vent Mount Pro Best universal magnetic mount 2023-2027, suitable vent required
eSamcore 15-Inch Cup Holder Mount Best vent-free option 2023-2027
Important 2026 compatibility note: The 2026 Toyota bZ received a substantially redesigned dashboard, center console and 14-inch multimedia screen. Do not assume that a screen-mounted or dashboard-specific bZ4X mount designed for 2023-2025 will fit the newer interior.

2023-2025 Toyota bZ4X vs. 2026-2027 Toyota bZ

Before choosing a mount, identify which interior you have.

The 2023-2025 Toyota bZ4X uses a 12.3-inch Toyota Audio Multimedia touchscreen positioned above the center dashboard. Its unusual console includes covered smartphone storage and a charging area beneath the floating upper portion of the console.

For 2026, Toyota dropped the “4X” from the name and substantially revised the cabin. The bZ received a slimmer instrument panel, a standard 14-inch Toyota Audio Multimedia display, two Qi-compatible wireless charging locations and a redesigned center console. Toyota carried that basic layout into the 2027 model year.

This distinction matters most with mounts that physically clip around the touchscreen or dashboard trim. Universal vent and cup holder mounts depend far less on the exact dashboard shape.

PZK Custom bZ4X MagSafe Mount: Best for 2023-2025

Best for: 2023-2025 owners who want a clean vehicle-specific installation without using the windshield or center console.

The PZK Car Phone Holder is specifically listed for the 2023-2025 Toyota bZ4X and Subaru Solterra. Rather than attaching a generic hook to an air-vent blade, its vehicle-specific bracket is shaped around the factory screen area.

The mount uses a magnetic MagSafe-style phone interface and has a rotating joint so the phone can be positioned vertically or horizontally. This is the option we would start with for an earlier bZ4X, because the base itself is designed around the vehicle instead of relying entirely on a universal mounting point.

It also avoids occupying the center console area, which is useful because Toyota already uses that space for phone storage and charging.

MountGuys Tip: The PZK listing specifies 2023-2025. Even though the vehicle continued under the bZ name for 2026, the newer dashboard is different. We would not order this mount for a 2026 or newer model unless PZK updates its compatibility information.

Masergogo Auto Clamp Mount: Best Custom Cradle

Best for: Drivers who prefer a traditional mechanical phone holder instead of a magnetic attachment.

The Masergogo Auto Clamp Car Phone Holder is another vehicle-specific option marketed for the Toyota bZ4X and Subaru Solterra. Instead of relying on MagSafe, it uses a mechanical phone cradle, making it a better choice for Android phones, thick protective cases and drivers who simply prefer physical arms around the phone.

The listing is scoped specifically to the 2023-2025 bZ4X and its 8/12.3-inch screen, so it lines up with the correct dashboard generation. Skip it if you have a 2026 or newer bZ, since that model uses the larger 14-inch display and a different console layout entirely.

For 2023-2025 owners, the Masergogo is a useful alternative to the PZK, particularly if you do not use a MagSafe-compatible phone or case.

andobil MagSafe Vent Mount Pro: Best Universal Mount

Best for: Drivers who want one mount that does not depend on the bZ’s screen size or center-console design.

The andobil MagSafe Car Mount Pro is a universal magnetic vent mount with a rotating head. Because it attaches to an air vent rather than wrapping around a vehicle-specific display, it avoids most of the model-year problems associated with custom mounts.

That makes it especially interesting for a 2026 or 2027 Toyota bZ. The redesigned dashboard reduces our confidence in earlier custom-fit products, while a good mechanical vent attachment can continue to work regardless of whether the center display is 12.3 or 14 inches.

The obvious tradeoff is vent obstruction. Position the phone so it does not completely block airflow, and make sure the clip is attached securely to a suitable vent structure rather than merely resting against the face of the vent.

This mount is particularly convenient with MagSafe-compatible iPhones. Android users can also use magnetic cases or appropriate magnetic rings depending on their phone and case combination.

eSamcore 15-Inch Cup Holder Mount: Best Vent-Free Option

Best for: Drivers who do not want anything attached to the dashboard, screen, vent or windshield.

The eSamcore 15-Inch Cup Holder Phone Mount takes a completely different approach. Its expandable base installs into a cup holder and supports the phone on a long adjustable arm.

For the bZ, that can be attractive. The vehicle already has a visually busy cockpit with a high instrument display and large center touchscreen. Putting the phone lower in the center console avoids adding another object around the driver’s forward view.

The eSamcore base is designed to expand inside cup holders measuring approximately 2.36 to 3.9 inches, and its phone clamp is designed for phones between roughly 4.7 and 7 inches.

The tradeoff is simple: you give up one cup holder. The taller mounting position also places the phone farther below eye level than a vent or screen mount. For navigation that may not be ideal, but for music, charging or occasional phone access, it is a very clean solution.

Where Should You Mount a Phone in the Toyota bZ?

There is no single mounting location that works best for everyone. In the bZ, these are the four locations worth considering.

Screen or Dashboard Area

This gives the phone a high, easy-to-see position and is our preferred location when a properly engineered vehicle-specific mount is available. For 2023-2025 vehicles, the PZK and Masergogo are designed around this approach.

Air Vent

A vent mount is the easiest universal solution and is especially useful on the 2026 and newer bZ because it avoids relying on the redesigned 14-inch display. The drawback is reduced airflow around the vent being used.

Cup Holder

This is the least invasive option. Nothing attaches to the dash and there is no suction cup on the windshield. The tradeoff is a lower sightline and the loss of a cup holder.

Windshield

A suction-cup windshield mount can provide excellent adjustability, but windshield mounting laws vary by location. It can also introduce more visual obstruction than the other options, particularly in a vehicle already using a high-mounted driver display.

Common Toyota bZ Phone Mounting Problems

Buying by vehicle name instead of model year. A product labeled “bZ4X/bZ” can be misleading because the interior changed for 2026. Always check the stated year range.

Blocking the multimedia display. The bZ uses a large center touchscreen, especially the 14-inch display introduced for 2026. Position a mount where it does not cover touchscreen controls or obscure important information.

Covering too much of an air vent. Magnetic vent mounts are convenient, but a large modern phone can restrict airflow. Test placement before tightening everything down.

Assuming wireless charging means you do not need a mount. The 2026 bZ includes two Qi-compatible charging locations in its center console, which is excellent for charging but places the phone low and largely out of your navigation sightline. A dedicated mount can still be useful even when the vehicle already charges the phone wirelessly.

Which Toyota bZ Phone Mount Should You Buy?

For a 2023-2025 Toyota bZ4X, our first choice is the PZK Custom bZ4X MagSafe Mount. A purpose-built mounting base usually gives you a cleaner installation than adapting a generic holder to the vehicle.

If you want a physical cradle rather than a magnetic phone holder, consider the Masergogo Auto Clamp Mount.

For a 2026 or 2027 Toyota bZ, we would currently lean toward a universal option such as the andobil MagSafe Vent Mount Pro or eSamcore Cup Holder Mount. Both avoid depending on dashboard dimensions that changed during the 2026 redesign.

Bottom line: Treat 2023-2025 bZ4X and 2026-2027 bZ dashboard mounts as separate fitment groups. Toyota retained the same basic vehicle platform, but the interior mounting surfaces are not identical.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best Toyota bZ phone mount?

For a 2023-2025 bZ4X, the PZK custom magnetic mount is our preferred choice because it is specifically designed around the vehicle’s screen area. For a 2026 or newer bZ, a quality vent or cup holder mount is the safer choice until more custom mounts specifically designed around the 14-inch dashboard become established.

Did Toyota discontinue the bZ4X?

The vehicle itself was not discontinued. Toyota shortened the name from bZ4X to bZ beginning with the 2026 model year.

Will a 2023-2025 bZ4X phone mount fit a 2026 Toyota bZ?

Do not assume that it will. Toyota redesigned the dashboard, multimedia screen and center console for 2026. A universal mount may work across both versions, but a vehicle-specific clip or bracket should explicitly list the newer interior.

What size screen does the 2026 Toyota bZ have?

The 2026 Toyota bZ comes standard with a 14-inch Toyota Audio Multimedia touchscreen. The 2023-2025 bZ4X uses a 12.3-inch multimedia touchscreen.

Does the Toyota bZ have wireless phone charging?

Yes. Earlier bZ4X models offer wireless smartphone charging, and the redesigned 2026 bZ provides two Qi-compatible wireless charging locations in the center console. A phone mount can still be useful for keeping navigation within the driver’s sightline.
