Blink Outdoor 4 Camera Mounts

The Blink Outdoor 4 Camera mounts are their best yet.  In what used to be a very weak included accessory, Blink has come a very long way from the original mount. This is the fourth generation of mounts for Blink.  The original Blink mount left a lot to be desired.  We then raved over the improved Blink XT2 mount which was a very usable pivot mount but had a weakness when it came to a ceiling mount. The Blink Outdoor Mount was somewhat similar to this one.  The fourth generation is somewhat more rugged and has a matte finish to … Read more

Blink Mini Pan and Tilt Mount Review

Today we had an opportunity to check out the Blink Mini Pan and Tilt Mount.  This camera was released in April, 2020 and now several years later, this mount was released to enhance the usefulness of the Blink Mini. A Pan and Tilt camera can point left and right and up and down.  It’s totally controlled from the application.  Blink lacks one of these cameras.  Rather than come out with a new camera, they introduced this mount.  For that already have the camera and embedded into the Blink ecosystem, this is a worthwhile addition. Mounts and Tripods for the Nest Cam IQ

We’re impressed with the Nest Cam IQ.  It’s a high quality camera that recognizes faces.  The camera will email you when it sees someone.  That’s pretty innovative. Mount Analysis When it comes to mounts, the ReoLink Argus is well thought out.  The bottom has an integrated magnet and standard 1/4″ – 20 threaded tripod screw hole.  This is good news because that screw size opens us up to a wide variety of camera mounts and tripods for … Read more

Mounting a Blink Sync Module to a Power Outlet

Optimal placement of the Blink Sync Module is key to ensuring uninterrupted video from these wireless cameras.  Ideally, the Blink settings will show five bars from the sync module to the wireless access point as well as five bars from the camera to the sync module.  If the optimal location of the device doesn’t have a table or shelf nearby, an alternate means of placement would be handy.  Hence, we’re going to discuss mounting  Blink Sync Module to a power outlet. Mount Analysis We discussed mounts for the Blink XT2, Blink Outdoor and Blink Indoor Security System in the past.  … Read more
