Wheelchair Apple iPad Mounts and Holders

I recently had to visit a patient in a rehabilitation center and noted several residents with an Apple iPad and other tablets on their laps.  I suspect this isn’t the greatest arrangement for them and the tablet often gets lost or drops off their laps.  So based on this, I decided to write this article to recommend some wheelchair Apple iPad mounts. Although there are a few exceptions, most wheelchairs are built similarly.  They are constructed of metal circular bars with padding added to the armrest.  The diameter of the round bars are typically in the .75 to 1.25 inch … Read more

Car and Home Mounts for the Nintendo Switch

The Nintendo Switch was released on March 2, 2017.  It’s Nintendo’s seventh home video game console.  Compact in size with the mobile market in mind, the Switch sports a 6.2 inch screen. The Nintendo Switch is a smaller device which means mounting it in a car or anywhere at home can be accomplished with some of the mounts we’ll discuss.  First, we need to look at the all important dimensions and weight.  For mounting purposes, the Nintendo Switch will likely be used without the Joy-Con controller attached as you will need that in your hand to interact with the device. Mounting a Flag to a Motorcycle

A recent visit to the annual Gooch’s Garlic Run in New Jersey, I took notice of several motorcycles with a flag mounted.  Methods used to mount a flag to a motorcycle varied from homemade to an official mount.  Some of the homemade varieties didn’t look too bad but a few looked a bit shaky.  This article will take a look at a few ways to mount a flag to a motorcycle. A Roku Mount Keeps the Box from Falling Behind the TV

I have been a Roku user since the first generation from 2008.  Since then, I have owned a few other Roku models.  The boxes got smaller, the cables remained heavier and the box constantly fell behind the TV due to the weight of the cables and lightness of the redesigned box.  I recently discovered a Roku mount for keeping these in place.  I wish I would have discovered these sooner. The photo that accompanies this article is my Roku 3 sitting on the TV console.  It’s located next to the DVR which comes from Cablevision.  Truth be told, I had to pull … Read more
