These use the same software logic as the Wireless Foot Pedal with on/off, right/left and faster/slower commands. The Hand-held Remote is powered by a 3-volt battery that will last 20 continuous hours. The remote only uses power when sending commands so that your battery lasts between 500 and 600 hours of fishing (that's a lot of fishing time).
